Sam Twiston-Davies after riding Vosne Romanee to victory

Vosne Romanee is trained by Dr Richard Newland. Since running for Foxtrot, Vosne Romanee has run 12 times and only been out of the prize money twice!

Frustratingly balloted out of the Fred Winter at Cheltenham Festival last year in 2015, he nevertheless gave this owners plenty of fun and a fascinating insight into Dr Richard Newland’s yard. Despite unsuitable ground he ran well before picking up an injury. He has now made a full recovery and is in pre-training and will be returning to the racecourse in April.

Here are Richard Newland’s thoughts on the season ahead:

Vosne Romanee is in training with Dr Richard Newland.

Richard, who has won races such as the Grand National, Coral Cup and Imperial Cup  had an amazing 31% win record with his hurdlers last season (the best strike rate in the country) and has a reputation for improving horses that join his yard. With only 14 boxes, Richard is very selective about which horses join the yard, but he is very excited about Vosne Romanee’s prospects for 2016.

Dr Richard Newland bought and trained the 2014 Grand National winner Pineau de Re

The chesnut gelding will initially go hurdling but has also schooled extremely well over fences and should also be able to pick up some novice chase races this summer.

He is only a five year old and has a big future.

Another comfortable win for Vosne Romanee under Sam Twiston-Davies

The partnership has paid £10,000 to buy the horse in July 2014.

A 5% leased share is available for just £1,350 to cover all costs until the end of October 2016.

You can also choose to purchase the share for an additional cost of £500 and benefit from any increase in his capital value. The value of £500 is from the initial purchase and is a reduced figure from his current market value making this an excellent option.

There will be a Partnership visit to Dr Richard Newland’s impressive yard in the Spring.  This will include a tour of the stables and seeing the horses on the gallops plus a chance to see Grand National winner Pineau de Re’s preparations to run in the race again.

Shares in this Partnership will be very popular so please do join today.
