Jane Lamb

Jane Lamb

Foxtrot Racing have bought a four year old filly called Jane Lamb. She has run in two national hunt flat races, finishing second and third and the form of these races has worked out well.

Jane Lamb was bought by Dan Skelton after running well in her first two starts. Dan will train her. He thinks that mares novice hurdles provide good winning opportunities and he expects Jane Lamb to pick up a couple of novice hurdle wins this winter before going on to run at a higher level.

Jane Lamb was trained by Jedd O’Keeffe, who I have known a long time. Jedd’s wife is my mother’s god-daughter. He has recommended the horse to me. He explained that the horse ran well despite Brian Harding reporting that she needed a wind operation. He thinks that she has a very exciting future ahead of her. He was disappointed to lose her from his yard. She is well bred, has a fantastic attitude and jumps well.

Dan Skelton has already given Jane Lamb a breathing operation and reports that she is a much improved for it. She has already been in training for two months so she will be ready to run in around four weeks time. Dan is very excited about her prospects. He hopes to find a novice hurdle for her to win before looking for some bigger meetings for her later in the season.

Dan Skelton is selling the horse at cost price and will not charge us any training fees for August and September.

Being a well bred mare she should maintain her re-sale value better than a gelding and looks a very good value purchase.

The purchase cost of Jane Lamb will be £600 per syndicate member (20 members) and the contribution towards training and racing costs until 30th April 2018 will be £1,100

At the end of the season Members receieve a financial statement showing all income and expenditure for the season. We guarantee that it will not cost you more than £1,700 (£600+£1,100) but if the Partnership costs are less then you will get a refund for any unspent contributions, plus of course prizemoney won.

Do get in touch if you would like any more details.
